Anasuya Roy Memorial Scholarship 
 
Anasuya Roy Memorial Scholarship was introduced in the year 2016 to honor the life of our first President Smt Anasuya Roy, who left us suddenly in February 2016. Remembering her dedication, sincerity and hard work towards people, particularly towards people with financial need and for people with fewer opportunities to access fund resources, we introduced this scholarship to fulfill her dreams.
 
The Anasuya Roy Memorial Scholarship is merit-based, need-based scholarship, offered to students in appreciation of their academic accomplishments and also in recognition of their dedication, sincerity and hard work.

Financial aid for Chayan Biswas
 
Chayan Biswas did his schooling from Netaji High School, Siliguri. He did exceptionally well in his West Bengal Board Higher Secondary examination this year (2016). He scored 467 out of 500 in Humanities and his subject-wise marks are English 92, Bengali 90, Political Science 99, Social Science 94, History 92. He wants to study History Hons at Siliguri College, Siliguri. Chayan's mother sacrificed everything to ensure that Chayan gets proper education. She single handedly run the family with her little income. It is a story of exceptional hardship and struggle. Chayan approached us for financial assistance from Let us join, so that he can continue his education and fulfill his dreams. We have provided financial aid to Chayan so that he can meet all his first year's college expenses for his graduation study at Siliguri College. We have also sent him a Certificate of Appreciation in appreciation of his accomplishments.

Financial aid for Puja Majhi
 
Puja Majhi did exceptionally well in the West Bengal Board Higher Secondary Examination and their efforts to fight all odds of their life in simply out standing. She scored 454 out of 500 and her subject-wise marks are English 92, Bengali 91, Political Science 88, Geography 93, Environmental science 90. She wants to study at Fakir Chand College, Dismond Haubour. We came to know about Puja from Times of India groups Bengali daily Ei Samay of issue date May 18, 2016. Please click here to read the entire story of Puja Majhi, as appeared in the newspaper. We have spoken to Sri Shubhendu Halder, the Ei Samay reporter who wrote about Puja, and then talked to Puja and her father. We have decided to provide financial aid for Puja so that she can meet all her first year's college expenses for her graduation study and she is able to move forward to fulfill their dreams. Financial aid for Jayanta Dutta Banik
 
Jayanta Dutta Banik is suffering from hearing loss and doctors suggested him to use Hearing Aid. Jayanta had to purchase the required Hearing Aid from Bengal Speech and Hearing Pvt Ltd, at a price of Rs 9000.00. Jayanta is a newspaper delivery man by profession and he lives with his wife and two daughters, the elder daughter is doing BA in Arts and the second daughter has passed Class X board examination. In April 2014 he had to undergo a brain surgery at Bangalore. Jayanta is passing through huge financial problem, and has applied for Financial Aid. We are happy to announce that the committee has decided to extend support to Jayanta and has sanctioned financial aid for him. We formally handed over of the financial assitance to Jayanta Dutta Banik on July 3, 2016, Sunday. Click here to see the pictures of the event.
 
Anasuya Roy Memorial Scholarship 
 
This will be one-time scholarship of Rs 1000.00 for each of the following five selected students (from needy family) of Begum Rokeya Smriti Balika Vidyalay, CJ 335, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 700091:
 
(1) Joyeeta Mondal Class X
(2) Shinjinee Ghosh Class IX
(3) Ivy Halder Class IX
(4) Pinky Khan Class XI
(5) Shreyashi Saha Class XI
 
After discussion with the school authority the scholarship was handed over to the students in July 2016.
